Middle School English Long-Term Substitute Teacher

The Middle School English Long-Term Substitute is responsible for four sections of English instruction in the 5th and 6th grades. The substitute will follow the plan left by the faculty member with latitude to add their own personal style to instruction that utilizes sound instructional practices. This individual will also serve as a middle school advisor, creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for advisees.

Floating Substitute Teacher, Full-Time  - All Divisions

A Floating Substitute Teacher is a full member of the St. Francis community, serves as an educator, and is responsible for the day-to-day student instruction in various divisions and grade levels.  The floating substitute teacher will provide short and long-term coverage for faculty absences. Responsibilities include providing a supportive, orderly, and interactive classroom and fulfilling other duties assigned to the absent teacher such as carpool and dining hall duty. Lesson plans are completed by the teacher of the class but, occasionally, the floating substitute teacher will prepare lessons plan when covering a class for an extended period of time.

Long -Term Substitute Teacher - All Divisions

A Long-Term Substitute Teacher serves as an educator and is responsible for the day-to-day student instruction at a particular grade level for an extended amount of time. Long-term substitute teachers are responsible for creating lesson plans using the curriculum set by the school to provide a comprehensive instructional program that reflects best practice through inquiry and research-based instruction. Long-Term Substitute teachers do not receive paid time off or benefits.

Substitute Teacher - All Divisions

A Substitute Teacher serves as an educator and is responsible for the day-to-day student instruction for a short or long period of time using the material and instructions left by a particular teacher.  Substitute teacher provides a supportive, orderly, and interactive classroom and will perform other duties assigned to the absent teacher such as carpool and dining hall duty.

School Nurse Substitute

A School Nurse Substitute provides limited medical care and services to students and school staff when the school nurse is absent.  Other responsibilities include administering medication to students, contacting parents of students who are ill or injured at school, and performing first aid as needed.  Current CPR certification is required.
