Teachers, administrators, and parents gathered in chapel to celebrate our Middle School students' achievements throughout the year. One boy and one girl from each grade level in Middle School were honored for excellence in each subject area and athletics. Additionally, we recognized some of our eighth-grade students for their character and excellence in and out of the classroom. These awards, known as "the bowls," are a tradition at St. Francis. Students' names are engraved on a set of silver bowls and are displayed at the entrance to the school.
The distinguished St. Francis Award is given to an eighth-grade boy and girl, who, in their day-to-day life during the years they have attended St. Francis, have exemplified the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, who passionately served God through a reverence for all creation. The recipients of this award, themselves instruments of peace, are those who demonstrate love and concern for the school community.
Congratulations to all our Middle School award winners!
