For more than 40 years, Gesa Muxfeldt's Motor classroom has been home to movement, learning, and delight for Primary School students of all ages.
She has touched the lives of thousands of St. Francis's youngest Wolves through "snow" days, rodeo competitions, fairy tale-inspired contests, scooter races, and myriad other classroom activities designed to make movement fun.
So, it is with hearts full of gratitude and love—as well as some sadness—that we announce Mrs. Muxfeldt's intention to retire at the end of this school year.
Over the decades, her teaching has been enriched by her own lifelong learning, a true enjoyment of educating, and a genuine love for her students. She says witnessing students' individual accomplishments and unique expressions of respect and caring has been her greatest joy in teaching.
"Till this day, I have maintained interest in my work here at St. Francis," she says. "Thank you, parents, for having shared your children with me. I continue to be ready to join a group of children wherever they may be."
And thank you, Mrs. M., for pouring your heart and soul into the students of St. Francis. You have impacted generations, and we are all better for having known and loved you!
