Lower School Admissions (Grades K–4)

To begin the admissions process, please create an account in the Veracross admissions portal. Please note, Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by September 1.

The online application is due December 15 and  includes: demographic information, parent and student questionnaires, applicant photo and application fee. To be considered an applicant by the December 15 deadline, these items must be submitted. All remaining application components must be submitted by the February 1 file completion deadline.

Families new to St. Francis are encouraged to attend an Admissions Tour. Current families do not need to attend but are welcome to join. Weekday tours are intended for parents only. Prospective students will have their own opportunities to visit campus throughout the admissions process.

• Your current teacher must submit the teacher recommendation form. 
• We suggest waiting until November so the teacher has the opportunity to get to know your child.

A student visit is required and details will be communicated in December by the Admissions Office.

A transcript is not required for Kindergarten applicants.  First grade applicants must submit a transcript from the fall semester or first trimester of Kindergarten.  Applicants to second grade should include Kindergarten and the current fall semester or first trimester of first grade.  Applicants to grades 3 and 4 must include grades from the previous two academic years and current fall semester or first trimester.   

• Kindergarten and first grade candidates must take the WPPSI (Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence).  The report will be sent directly to St. Francis Episcopal.
   
• Second through fourth grade candidates must take the WISC (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children).  The report will be sent directly to St. Francis Episcopal.
