Upper School Admissions (Grades 9–11*)

To begin the admissions process, please create an account in the Veracross admissions portal.

The online application includes: demographic information, parent and student questionnaires, student essays, applicant photo and application fee. To be considered an applicant by the December 15 deadline, these items must be submitted. All remaining application components must be submitted by the February 1 file completion deadline. 

Families new to St. Francis are encouraged to attend an Admissions Tour. Current families do not need to attend but are welcome to join.Students applying to the Upper School are encouraged to attend.

A recommendation form must be submitted from the current math and English teachers. 
We suggest waiting until November so the teachers have the opportunity to get to know your child.

Applicants also have the option to submit one special interest form.

Transcript/report cards must include grades from the previous two academic years and the first semester or first trimester of the current year. The school should email the documents directly to Admissions@StFrancisHouston.org.

Applicants to ninth grade are required to submit standardized test scores for admission. Applicants must take the ISEE (Independent Schools Entrance Exam). The ISEE school code for St. Francis Episcopal is 447791.

Applicants to tenth and eleventh grades are not required to take the ISEE.
 

Students will have the opportunity to visit classes and meet students.  The student interview will be conducted with a member of the Upper School administration during their shadow day.  Details will be communicated by the admissions office once the application has been submitted.
