We are so grateful for the many parents who volunteer their time to help enrich the daily experiences of our students. Whether serving in the classroom, on a fundraising committee, as an athletics booster, or another capacity, parents find various ways to be engaged with our community. Art à la Carte is a robust enrichment program for our K–8 curriculum. St. Francis maintains 90 professionally trained volunteer docents who teach a continually updated curriculum covering the principles and elements of art and helping students learn about notable artists. Docents teach 8–10 lessons throughout the school year, touching on painting, sculpture, and architecture tenets—often in a historical context. Art à la Carte is included in the school’s standard academic offerings, and the program’s docents are considered adjunct faculty and must attend training in the spring and fall.
The Athletics Booster Club helps support the athletics program through Wolf Wear clothing sales, concessions sales during home games, and other activities. The booster club also fosters school spirit at home and away games, assists with pep rallies and spirit days, and helps with hosting tournaments held on the St. Francis campus.
The Athletics Booster Club offers a variety of St. Francis–branded items for sale, from apparel and jewelry to duffle bags and stadium chairs.
Created for the fathers of St. Francis students, the Dad's Club meets monthly for breakfast on the first Friday of every month. With a focus on community service, relationship building among dads, education and school support. The group also sponsors and organizes guest-speaker visits throughout the year.
Friends of Fine Arts (FOFA) supports the school’s visual and performing arts programs. Parent volunteers promote awareness and raise additional funds through concession sales and special events. Membership dues support St. Francis's award-winning choirs, schoolwide drama and music productions, annual Fine Arts Postcard selection, and much more.
The Parents Association sponsors activities that enrich and enhance the lives of St. Francis students and parents. With a primary focus on parent education, the association sponsors guest-speaker and author visits, small group forums, and book discussion groups on a variety of parenting issues.
For our students, this organization also provides numerous fun and educational cultural enrichment events—from the revelry of the St. Francis Medieval Feast to museum field trips to wildlife and history presentations that bring the world at large to life.
