While the St. Francis calendar is full of fun and exciting happenings, it is highlighted by four major events: the St. Francis Festival Day, which is held each spring; the St. Francis Gala and Auction, which is held every other spring; the St. Francis Sporting Clays Classic, which is held every fall; and the Woolrich Luncheon, which is held every spring.

St. Francis hosts its Sporting Clays Classic annually, featuring a clay shoot and flurry competition, along with lunch and an awards ceremony. Proceeds from the event benefit the Patrick Nicosia C.A.R.E. Fund, which provides cultural, academic, and recreational enrichment (C.A.R.E.) for St. Francis students who otherwise may not be able to participate. The Fund was established in 2013 in memory of Patrick Nicosia, a passionate volunteer whose dedication to providing our students with the finest enrichment opportunities was a true inspiration to our community.

Every other spring, the St. Francis community gathers for the beloved Gala and Auction, an evening of lively entertainment with a time-honored goal—to raise funds, further friendship, and celebrate the future of St. Francis. Sign up parties, a student raffle, and stellar online auction kick off the fundraising efforts that culminate on Gala night with a show-stopping Live Auction. After the dancing ends, Gala proceeds fund several school-wide initiatives and programs.
Every spring, the St. Francis Community comes together to celebrate the experiences of the Sarah W. Woolrich Fund for Faculty recipients at a lively luncheon. Money raised by the luncheon and beyond help fund once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunities outside of the classroom for faculty and staff, and enhances professional development. Thanks to the Woolrich Fund, our teachers have stood before the art masters in Paris museums, participated in a dinosaur dig, walked through the Holy Land, and toured the Roman Empire. Not surprisingly, they have carried home impassioned lessons in science, art, history, and religion to prove it.
For 50 years, the St. Francis church and school community have come together for the St. Francis Festival, an afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship. All money raised by the Festival benefits the One Community Fund, which supports efforts vital to the growth of our school and church community, including landscaping projects, enhanced security measures, staffing expenses, and many infrastructure improvements.
