For over 25 years, St. Francis Episcopal School has offered its summer program, Summer on the Point (SOTP), to our school community and other students in the Houston area. We are committed to providing a summer experience that is as safe as it is fun. Please contact ExploreAndExtend@StFrancisHouston.org with questions.
Discovery Day Camps Themed Weeks
Summer on the Point (SOTP) Discovery Day Camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Children are grouped by age and investigate the session topic through a variety of planned activities and free exploration. Dramatic play, planned literacy, music, motor, cooking, art, and science projects help students gain a deeper understanding of the concepts at hand.

JUNE 17–21: Everyday Hero
We’re shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes of our communities—those who work quietly behind the scenes to make the world a better place. During Everyday Hero Week, we’ll explore the amazing jobs that often go unnoticed but are essential to keeping things running smoothly. From teachers and healthcare workers to janitors, delivery drivers, and postal workers, this week celebrates the heroes who show up every day to make a difference.
JUNE 23–27: Wacky
Get ready to let your imagination run wild! Wacky Week is all about celebrating creativity, having fun, and embracing the weird and wonderful side of life. This week, we’ll dive into the world of silly, surprising, and downright goofy activities that will have campers thinking outside the box and unleashing their wackiest ideas. Whether we’re inventing crazy games, designing bizarre fashion, or coming up with the most outlandish art projects, this week is about letting your creativity shine and having a blast doing it!
JULY 7–11: Level-Up
Ready to level-up? Level-Up Week is all about growth, improvement, and stepping into the next chapter as a confident, empowered camper! This week, we’ll focus on personal development, building new skills, and achieving goals—whether it’s moving up to the next grade or becoming a better version of yourself. Through fun challenges, team-building activities, and self-reflection, campers will unlock new "powers" that help them grow both as individuals and as part of a community.
JULY 14–18: Wild West
Yeehaw! Saddle up, partner, and get ready for an adventure straight out of the Wild West with a Texas twist! Wild West Week will take you on a journey through the untamed frontier, where everything’s bigger, bolder, and more exciting—just like the great state of Texas. Whether you’re learning to lasso like a real cowboy, exploring the history of the Lone Star State, or cooking up some classic Texan treats, this week will be filled with fun, teamwork, and a whole lotta Texas pride!
JULY 21–25: Kindness
It's all about the power of giving! Kindness Week will teach campers how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Whether it’s through donating time, lending a helping hand, or sharing material goods, we’ll explore how giving back strengthens our community and makes the world a better place. Through creative projects, community service, and heartwarming activities, campers will learn the true meaning of generosity and the meaning behind the St. Francis motto “People for Others”.
Students will have the option to bring lunch or purchase lunch provided by SAGE Dining.
